St. Louis Activities for Spring Family Fun

Spring has finally sprung in St. Louis, which means the beginning of outdoor family fun in the city! All of our favorite St. Louis pastimes are back in season and ready for your friends and family to enjoy. Check out our list of St. Louis attractions debuting this spring, below!

 

 Six Flags St. Louis

  • Six Flags opens on 3/25 for weekend fun through Memorial Day, with daily operating hours all through the summer! Ticket prices and hours vary, so check out their website for details! Don't forget about Bugs Bunny National Park for little ones - it brings a ton of amusement park fun, in a safe and age/size-appropriate atmosphere! Oh, and Hurricane Harbor re-opens on May 27th through Labor Day weekend if you're interested in some water park fun!

Grant's Farm

  • Grant's Farm opens for the season on April 15th, with weekend hours through April 23rd. The Farm will be open Saturdays from 9am-3:30pm, and Sundays from 9:30am-3:30pm. On April 25th, Grant's Farm begins its summer season (running through August 27th) with hours Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-3:30pm and Sunday from 9:30am-3:30pm. Missouri Botanical Garden

  • The garden is open year-round from 9am-5pm daily. They also offer early morning hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7am-9am, and Wednesday evening "walking hours" from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 5pm-7pm. See MissouriBotanicalGarden.org for more info on their themed events throughout the year as well as ticket prices! (PS, you definitely don't want to miss out on their FREE Whitaker Music Festival running on Wednesday nights from June-August! Starting at 5pm, admission to the garden is free, plus you can pack a picnic to enjoy while you listen to their concerts!)

St. Louis Zoo

  • Our beloved Zoo is open daily from 9am-5pm, with extended hours from May 26th-September 4th (Mon-Thur 8am-5pm, Fri-Sun 8am-7pm). As always, admission is free! In addition to visiting with some of the coolest zoo animals around, take advantage of additional fun by joining in on their Jungle Boogie free concert series, Friday nights from 5pm-8pm from May 26th-September 1st! Butterfly House

  • The Butterfly House is open from 10am-4pm Tuesday-Sunday, with their special Spring Fling event taking place April 1st-May 31st. Spring Fling is a special opportunity to learn about the important animals that help make the Botanical Gardens grow! For ticket prices and more information on special events, visit their website.

Muny

  • You wouldn't be taking full advantage of beautiful weather in St. Louis without seeing at least one outdoor show at the gorgeous Muny theater! While the season doesn't technically start until June, season tickets are on sale now, with single show tickets being released on May 8th! Visit Muny.org for the season calendar and to buy tickets!

Skyview Drive-In (Belleville, IL)

  • If you thought drive-in theaters were extinct, think again! With just a short drive across the river, you can enjoy a classic drive-in experience at the Skyview Theater! For information on showtimes and ticket prices, visit Skyview-drive-in.com!

Purina Farms

  • In case you're looking for some additional animal fun this season, take a short drive out to Gray Summit, MO for a day at Purina Farms! Their spring season runs until May 28th, with hours Wednesday-Sunday from 9:30am-3:30pm. Summer season is from May 30th-September 3rd on Tuesdays-Sundays from 9:30am-3:30pm, followed by their fall season from September 6th-November 12th, with hours Wednesday-Sunday from 9:30am-3:30pm. St. Louis Cardinals

  • Woo hoo! Baseball is back! Our Redbirds kick off their 2017 season at home on Sunday, April 2nd at 7:30pm against the Cubs! Check out their regular season schedule here, and be sure to root on our home team this year!
